What is BrainCrafts

I started my #BrainCrafts journey in april of 2024. This site is a place for me to display my work, spread the word of a charity that I truly feel I can relate to and last but not least to help others get started with their own BrainCrafts.

My intention is to have a fluent update on my work inhere and slowly filling out all the tabs and adding to my BrainCrafts Crochet Academy. In time I hope to put more patterns and tutorials up as well.

My latest (and greatest?) #BrainCrafts project led me to yet more crafts (leather and handsewing)

Backstory:

My 12-year-old daughter shows me a picture of a bag she found online and asks if I can make one that looks like it.

Process:

I do my best to make something that looks like the picture, but have to make some alterations along the way (and learn several new crafts🥰)

Result:

You be the judge of how I did. The one with black straps is from a random picture-search online by a 12-year-old and the one with brown straps is mine.

The kindness of others

A friend of my mothers reached out the other day, because they had some wood they didn't know what to do with. So they thought of me and offered it to me🥰

Kindness goes a long way! And now I have wood for a long time 🤩

The wood is mirabelle plum and has the most beautiful red hue when worked.
